Guide must be based in driving distance of both our Gear House in Cincinnati and the Red River Gorge, KY. At least 2 years of experience in leadership, guiding, or verifiable outdoor skills.Must have current Wilderness First Aid and Adult First Aid/CPR Certifications.Great part-time job for a passionate backpacker. Guide will have the opportunity to lead our full line-up of trips. Topics include: Leave No Trace, setting up camp, hanging a bear bag, cooking, water purification, safety, packing, clothing, and more. Instructor will be responsible for leading an overnight backpacking trip while providing instruction on the fundamentals of backpacking. Our team learns from each other, pitches in for some good ol’ fashion brainstorming, takes responsibility for her actions, and holds herself accountable to the rest of the Dream Team.Įxplorer Chick is accepting resumes for a Backpacking Instructor and Guide for weekends in the Red River Gorge in 2023. Lastly TEAMWORK really does make our dream work. You must understand and work well in a small business culture – aka get ready to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities while enjoying the wild ride. You must have a natural tendency to take initiative, achieve results, and generally GSD.
